Join us for the second instalment of Toronto Tabla Ensemble (TTE)’s series: A Journey – Students in Training and Masters in Action. This is a unique musical experience presented at the Palmerston Library Theatre. The concert will highlight the incredible journey of tabla students under the visionary guidance of maestro Ritesh Das.

First Half: Witness two senior students of Das, now tabla professionals and TTE leaders Razak Pirani and Shamir Panchal performing a classical tabla duet. They will share their experience transitioning from beginner to advanced players and emphasize the artistry, discipline, and creativity cultivated in Das’s unique teaching methods.

Second Half: Be captivated by the Toronto Tabla Ensemble performing their signature dynamic and innovative compositions. This segment will give audiences a glimpse of how classical tabla solo repertoire is applied to create contemporary rhythmic driven pieces of music.

This intimate performance will not only celebrate the rhythms of Indian classical music but also highlight the transformative power of tabla in shaping confident, creative, and inspired individuals.
