Ritesh Das, award-winning tabla maestro, composer and teacher, is now offering a lecture/workshop to be presented at universities, colleges and other music institutes.  Ideally, the proposed content would be presented in a 2 hour class time. Material includes:

• Brief history of Tabla and its contribution in modern times
• Introduction to various time signatures and how that enriches composition
• Language and strokes of Tabla and their importance to students and performers
• Collaboration of Tabla with other musical styles
• Composition with North Indian rhythmic style and its role in Toronto Tabla Ensemble
