Group classes are small in order to ensure each students receives individual attention.

Do we need our own tabla to start classes?

Yes! You will need to bring your tabla to the class and to be able to practice at home. If you don’t have a set, contact us to find out how to purchase or rent one.

Where are you located?

Our in-person classes are held bi-weekly on Sundays in Toronto and weekly online through zoom. Check out the locations here.

Do you teach adult beginners?

Yes! Our most senior new beginning student is 79 years old, so it’s never too late to start.

How do I cancel my membership?

Memberships run month to month, you can pause or cancel your membership at any time.

At what age do you accept students?

Students must be at least 6 years old to begin studying tabla.

How long does it take before I can play/perform?

Within the first few months you will be able to play your first composition, provided you practice regularly (at least 3 x per week). We also hold student recitals where you can gain performance experience.
