Toronto Tabla Ensemble Photo-Shoot

On a blistering cold Sunday morning in Toronto, all of the members of the Toronto Tabla Ensemble and the new Youth Ensemble drove from all ends of the city to come together for a photo-shoot.
The aim was to capture group and single photos of the new members to publicize for an intense year of shows starting in the spring of 2014.
The Youth Ensemble is now in training for shows in Toronto and Scarborough and has already been approached to be featured in an event during Asian Heritage Month in May, 2014.
The young models were accompanied by their parents and siblings, and luckily we had a few volunteer tabla students who came to help with set up, hosting, and much needed catering!
During this shoot we also asked some of the students and volunteers to get in front of the camera and tell us what studying tabla means to them.
We were very happy with the results and decided to launch a marketing campaign ‘To me, Tabla is…’ alongside our performance promotion.
